About/Services image
Welcome-- My name is Lauren Mancini and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCMH/LPC) in Delaware and Pennsylvania as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and I thank you for visiting this page.

There are various reasons that you may have come across this site at this time in your life. Often it is due to recent or prolonged experiences of stress, worry, conflict or other psychological suffering that has prompted urges to seek help. Making the decision to start therapy is often complicated whether it is due to fear of the unknown, past experiences that did not meet expectations or the uncertainty as to how therapy can help. However, since you may be in the research stage of looking for a therapist my hope is to give you information on what services are offered and how they may helpful so you may make an informed decision whether we could be a good match. One of the first and most significant requirements of a successful therapeutic relationship is the connection between the therapist and client. One of my strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with a wide range of individuals because I highly value and respect people’s differences and choices for how they prefer to live their lives. Being non-judgmental is essential and I offer you that with certainty.

However, therapy is also a process that is focused on change and growth. After reviewing the reason(s) you are coming to therapy and gathering history, the expectations are that goals will be set to work towards to hold accountability towards the therapy process for both of us. Not every session will be focused on change, however to get symptom relief, it is essential. Also, keep in mind change is not always behavioral, it can working to change the way you think or feel which can be just as difficult but very effective.

There are a lot of different reasons how psychotherapy can be helpful. Some benefits include gaining new insights or awareness, experimenting with new behaviors/approaches to problems, improving communication, changing your relationship with past upsetting memories and experiences, or learning skills how to cope—however, symptom relief is always the primary goal.
If you are wondering what specific issues or symptoms/populations that I work best with they are below:
